Squirrel crossed my path this morning. I was sipping coffee outside in the woodland park that is my home. Along skips Squirrel with a roll of bath tissue, the length of it streaming behind her as she ran by. Squirrel signifies "Gathering" in Native American lore. She says: gather your wits, gather your thoughts (I am a writer), gather your courage, and wherever you travel next, wherever you are going, don't forget the bath tissue!
